Notice Description

	Transcription Services The Ontario Energy Board (�the Board�) is the regulator of the Province of Ontario�s electricity and natural gas sectors. As such, the Board is required to hold public hearings on applications dealing with rates, construction of facilities for pipelines or electricity transmission lines, matters referred to it by the Minister of Energy and Infrastructure or on any matter the Board feels is appropriate. The requirement for public hearings necessitates the need for verbatim reporting of the Proceedings. Along with this need for English transcription services is the need for French Language capability to fulfill the legislative requirements of the French Language Services Act. The Board has two hearing rooms, which can both be operational at the same time. It is possible to have requirements for more than two matters at the same time. There are also occasions when the Board is off-site due either to public interest or the full utilization of the two existing on-site hearing rooms. This results in a requirement for both on and off-site provision of the transcription services as described in this RFP. Timing/Service Levels The timing of the delivery of the various transcript products is critical to Board operations. For example, all parties may use the transcript from the day�s Proceeding to prepare for the next day's Proceeding. Where requested by any party, the Proponent will deliver all additional copies ordered, both printed and electronic, to that party within two (2) hours of the close of the day's Proceeding. Historic Copy: Where transcript copies from a previous Proceeding are ordered by any party, the Proponent will prepare and deliver the copies ordered, in either printed or electronic format, within three (3) business days of receipt of the order.
