The Government of Manitoba on behalf of Cadham Provincial Laboratory is
seeking a qualified firm to provide "as and when required" Services for
Urine Culture ("Uricult") Laboratory Testing. The purpose of this
Request for Proposal (RFP) is to identify those vendors capable of
meeting the Laboratory's requirements in a cost effective and timely
manner.

The CPL is a Manitoba public health, reference, and applied research
facility, committed to excellence in the preservation of wellness by
preventing, detecting and monitoring human disease, and providing
related education to health care professionals and the public.

It is anticipated that the presence of H1N1 and seasonal flu in Manitoba
this fall and winter will impact the resources and timeliness of
services provided by CPL as the laboratory will play a significant role
in the provincial strategies to manage any potential influenza
outbreak(s). In order to maintain the level of service offered to
physicians and clinics in Manitoba for routine laboratory testing, CPL
is seeking a qualified firm(s) to provide testing Services for the Urine
Culture (Uricult) test. This strategy will allow CPL resources to
concentrate on services related to the H1N1 influenza and other key
areas as necessary.

CPL is seeking an Agreement for "as and when required" Services for a
four (4) month term commencing immediately ideally on or before December
1, 2009 to March 31, 2010. There will be the option to extend the
awarded Agreement on a month to month basis should additional Services
be required beyond the initial term. The decision to exercise the
optional term(s) shall be at the sole discretion of Manitoba.

Proponents should refer to Appendix "A" - Specifications attached hereto
for the detailed requirements.
