Notice Description

	Request for Qualifications - Lansdowne Design Competition for an Urban Park Addendum #2 has been issued. Amendment #1 has been issued. RFQ The City of Ottawa, in association with the National Capital Commission (NCC), Parks Canada, and the Ottawa Sports Entertainment Group (OSEG), hereinafter referred to as the City, is seeking submissions from qualified professional consultants for the Lansdowne Water Front Park and Lawn Design Competition (Requests for Qualifications/Requests for Proposals). The City of Ottawa, NCC and Parks Canada recognize the significance of Lansdowne to the city and Nations Capital. In particular, the area of Lansdowne referred to as the �Front Lawn� which includes the Aberdeen Pavilion and the area to and including the edge of the Rideau Canal which is the subject area of this design competition (RFQ/RFP), requires and deserves the best possible urban design solution. Therefore the purpose of the RFQ is to begin the process to achieve this end. The City of Ottawa, the NCC, Parks Canada and OSEG are seeking the best possible solution and design partner for the �Front Lawn� that will integrate with the overall master plan for Lansdowne and work with the existing architectural and engineering team. The final overall plan will guide the transformation of Lansdowne into one of the spectacular �Pearls� of the Rideau Canal, in the heart of the City of Ottawa. Inquiries: All inquiries regarding this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) are to be directed to the Contracting Authority specified herein. Inquiries must be received in writing (e-mail) no later than Thursday, 28 January 2010. All inquiries received, and the answers as provided by the Project Authority will be provided to all Proponents by way of written addendum, no later than Wednesday, 03February 2010 without naming the source of the inquiry.
