Notice of Proposed Procurement (NPP) Abstract: MODULAR FIGHTING RIGS

	The Government of Canada is now providing funding so that potential suppliers can access electronic documentation relating to federal opportunities on the Government Electronic Tendering Service (GETS) free of charge. GETS supports the federal government’s sustainable development practices as it encourages moving procurement from a paper-based to an expanded electronic service.

	MODULAR FIGHTING RIGS Trade Agreement: Agreement on Internal Trade (AIT) Tendering Procedures: All interested suppliers may submit a bid Attachment: None Competitive Procurement Strategy: Lowest/Lower Bid Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: No Nature of Requirements: The department of National Defence has a requirement for three (3) different systems of modular fighting rigs with components and specialized pouches. The systems have to be military off the shelf or commercial off the shelf and in accordance with the Purchase Description dated September 2009. Firm Quantity: This requirement is for System A which includes quantity 180 C9 gunner kits, qty 280 commander kits, qty 90 M203 gunner kits, qty 230 pistol kit, qty 12 marksman kit, qty 180 confined space kit, qty 850 rifleman kit. System B which includes quantity 850 rifleman kits, qty 280 commander kits, qty 90 M203 gunner kits, qty 230 pistol kits, qty 12 marksman kits, qty 180 confined space kit. System C which includes quantity 850 Rifleman kits, qty 280 commander kits, qty 90 M203 gunner kits, qty 230 pistol kits, qty 12 marksman kits, qty 180 confined space kits, qty 180 C9 gunner kits. Requirement also includes specialized and medical pouches. Deliveries will be Free Carrier at contractor's facility. Bidders may quote on one or more of the systems with or without the pouches or on pouches only. The lowest priced compliant bid for each system will be awarded the contract. Four contracts for systems A,B,C and D might be awarded. Option: This requirement also includes an option for an estimated minimum quantity of 10% of the firm quantity up to an estimated maximum quantity of 100% of the firm quantity for each system. The option is exercisable during the 36 months following contract award. Three (3) amendments may be issued to exercise the option. Delivery requested: To commence as soon as possible and be completed by 31 march 2010. Enquiries To ensure a response before bid closing date, all enquries about this requirement must be submitted in writing and received by the Contracting Authority at least seven (7) calendar days prior to the bid closing date. Delivery Date: Above-mentioned The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement. Documents may be submitted in either official language of Canada.
