	LAV II BAK Trade Agreement: NONE Tendering Procedures: If 3+ bids offer Canadian goods/services other bids will not be considered Attachment: YES (MERX) Electronic Competitive Procurement Strategy: Best Overall Proposal Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: No Nature of Requirements: Notice of Proposed Procurement (NPP) (PWGSC File: W8476-101780) Description: This requirement is for the Department of National Defence (DND) to procure Belly Armour Kits (BAK) which will provide enhanced armour protection to the LAV II fleet of vehicles, including the Coyote and Bison armoured vehicle. The kit will be installed on the LAV II armoured vehicles deployed in operational theatres where the Improvised Explosive Device (IED) and mine threats are considered high. Scope of Work: This requirement consists of the following elements: (a) Quantity of two (2) prototype Belly Armour Kits (BAK) to be delivered within three (3) months of contract award; (b) Quantity of sixty-two (62) Belly Armour Kits (BAK) and ninety-seven (97) Modification Kits to be delivered beginning four (4) months after design approval; and (c) Option of up to thirty-five (35) Belly Armour Kits (BAK) and three hundred and twenty-three (323) Modification Kits to be delivered within seven (7) months after option is exercised. (d) Integrated Logistics Support for the complete LAV II BAK configuration with parts for no less than 2 years after the end of production. Bidders Conference: A bidders' conference will be held at NRC/CSTT, 2320 Lester Road, Ottawa, ON on 10 November 2009. The conference will begin at 9:00 am. The scope of the requirement outlined in the bid solicitation will be reviewed during the conference, questions will be answered, and LAV II vehicle(s) will be on site. It is recommended that bidders who intend to submit a bid attend or send a representative. Foot protection will be required.
