Complete Supplier Guide (PDF Format)


This page allows the Supplier Coordinator to create an organization contact or to update a selected organization contact’s information. The Organization’s information is displayed at the top of the page. Contact Information Fields Enter or modify the contact information and click on the Submit button. If you wish to exit the form without saving any information, click the Cancel button.   The Submitand Cancel buttons are located at the bottom of the form. Bolded field names indicate fields that must be completed.

Registration Date Displays the date the contact was registered in the MERX system.
Role Select the contact’s Role (e.g. Supplier, Supplier Coordinator) from the drop down list.
Contact Status Displays the contact’s status in MERX (Active, Cancelled, and Hold).  Active is displayed by default.
Status Date Displays the date the contact’s status was last modified.
Subscriber Type Displays the contact’s Subscriber Type.  This field is defaulted to Internet.
User ID This field will be empty if you are creating a new contact.  If you are updating a contact’s information, their current User ID will be displayed. Contact User Ids are generated and assigned by MERX.
Default Language Select the contact’s preferred language of communication from the drop down list.
Phone Support ID Enter or modify the Phone Support ID. You can enter up to 8 characters using numbers or letters.  The contact will be asked for their Phone Support ID should they contact the Call Centre. The Phone Support ID can be letters or numbers.
Corporate Title Enter the contact’s business or position title.
Title Enter the contact’s title (e.g. Mr., Ms).
First Name Enter the contact’s First Name.
Initial Enter the contact’s middle Initial.
Last Name Enter the contact’s Last Name.
Address Enter the street address of the contact.
City Enter the name of the City where the contact is located.
Country From the drop down list, select the name of the Country where the contact is located.
Canadian Residents Only Province and Postal Code From the drop down list, select the Province where the contact is located and enter the postal code.
Phone Enter the contact’s business telephone number and if available the extension number.
Fax Enter the contact’s fax number.
United States Residents Only State and Zip Code If the contact is located in the United States, select the State from the drop down list and enter the Zip Code.
Phone If the contact is located in the United States enter the contact’s business telephone number and if available the extension number.
Fax If the contact is located in the United States, enter the contact’s fax number
International Residents Only If the contact is located outside of Canada and the United States, enter the contact’s postal code
International Phone Enter the contact’s phone number, if applicable, outside Canada and the U.S. Spaces and alphanumeric characters are not allowed, you can only enter numbers and dashes:  e.g.: 01-1480-477230.
International Fax Enter the contact’s fax number, if applicable, outside Canada and the U.S. Spaces and alphanumeric characters are not allowed, you can only enter numbers and dashes:  e.g.: 01-1999-466156.
E-mail Address Enter the contact’s personal e-mail address.
Preferred Contact Method From the drop down list, select the method by which the contact prefers to receive communications.

A Supplier Coordinator can modify the MERX Services privileges.  Note that you can not over ride modifications made by a MERX Administrator. As a Supplier Coordinator you can select or deselect a MERX Service checkbox.  If you are deselecting a MERX service, you will be required to select a cancellation reason from the Reason to Revoke field.

Submit Button

After you have entered all of the information to be updated, click the Submit button to send the information to MERX.

Cancel Button

You can exit the Create Contact or Update Contact Information form without saving any changes by clicking the Cancel button.
