How to search for opportunities (Supplier)

Complete Supplier Guide (PDF Format)

Regular Subscribers can search for and view Canadian or International opportunity notices at any time. To search for opportunity notices, please log into your account and follow these steps:

1.	Go to the Supplier Home.
2.	Click the Opportunities link.
3.	Click the Search link, located under the Canadian or International sections on the left side of the page.
4.	Simple Search: If you want to perform a broad search for opportunities, click the Simple link. The Simple Search page will be displayed. Enter keyword(s) or Goods and Services Identification Numbers (GSINs), name(s) separated by commas, select the maximum number of results you would like to view on screen, and click on the Search button. For more detailed help information for this page, click on the Help button. You can also find specific opportunity notices by entering the Solicitation Number, Reference Number or Source ID code in the appropriate field on the bottom of the page.
5.	Detailed Search: If you want to perform a search for specific opportunities, click on the Detailed link to open the detailed opportunity search page, enter the information pertaining to the opportunity notices you wish to find. For more detailed help information for this page, click the Help button. Select the maximum number of results you would like to view on screen. Click on the Search button.

This page allows you to perform a simple broad search for opportunities by entering keyword(s) (terms or phrases) separated by commas. To find a specific opportunity you can enter its Solicitation Number, Reference Number or a Source ID code.

Simple Search

In the text box provided, enter the keyword(s), phrases, or GSIN codes separated by commas necessary to find the opportunities you wish to find. You can use one of the search operators. Click on Searching for Character Strings for detailed information on search operators.

If desired, you can change the maximum number of results to be displayed on your screen. By default, ten notices will be displayed. Change the Maximum number of results to the number you wish to display. Click the Search button located to the left of the "Select Maximum number of results per page" field to execute the simple search.

Specific Search

To find a specific opportunity, enter the Solicitation Number, Reference Number or Source ID code in the corresponding field. Click the Search button located to the right of the field you wish to search. For example, if you wish to search using a Solicitation Number, enter the solicitation number in the Solicitation Number field and then click the Search button located to the right of the Solicitation Number field.

Menu Links

The menu links are located on the left side of the page. To access a function, click the function name link. If a menu item is grayed, this means that the page is currently displayed or that the MERX page is not available for selection.

Back To:	The "Back To" section displays links that will take you back to previous MERX pages. Click the name of the page you wish to return to.
Search :
Detailed	This option link will allow you to access the detailed opportunity search page.
Former Opportunities	This option link will allow you to search opportunities that are closed.
Awards	This option link will allow you to search for opportunity award notices.
