Marine Atlantic Inc. (MAI) invites offers from qualified Vendors for the Life Raft Building Roof Replacement in Port aux Basques, NL.

The project is located at the Marine Atlantic Ferry Terminal site in Port aux Basques, Newfoundland.

The Work generally includes, but it is not necessarily limited to, the roof replacement for the Life Raft Building. More particularly the work includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the following:

Mobilization and demobilization, including all labor and equipment as specified and as required to carry out the work.

Remove existing standing seam panel roof, as shown on drawings.

Remove existing rainwater leaders (RWL), as shown on drawings.

Existing abandoned chimney to be removed in its entirety, as shown on drawings.

Existing metal ridge cap, eaves flashing and eavestroughs to be removed, as shown in drawings.

Supply and install new standing seam panel roof, as shown on drawings.

Supply and install new rainwater leaders (RWL), as shown on drawings.

Supply and install new metal ridge cap, eaves flashing and eavestroughs, as shown on drawings.

Existing chimney to be removed and re-instated to existing conditions. Provide new stabilizer brace to match existing and new connection hardware. Secure to new roof as required. Location shown approximately as shown on drawings; Verify exact location on site.

Provide price per meter for potential replacement of existing rusted purlins. Purlin size and location to match existing and to be verified at initial on site meeting.

Submittals:
- Preparation, submission, and implementation of an approved Construction Schedule.
- Preparation, submission, and implementation of an approved Site-Specific Safety Plan.
- Preparation, submission and implementation of an approved Traffic Control and Pedestrian Plan.
- Preparation, submission, and implementation of an approved Site-Specific Environmental Protection Plan.
- Preparation, and submission of a Project Execution Methodology.

Marine Atlantic reserves the right to accept tenders in whole or in part. The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted.

A site visit will be held on Tuesday, April 23rd, 2024, at 2:00 PM Newfoundland Time at the site in Port aux Basques, Newfoundland.

The closing for receipt of tenders will be 2:00PM Atlantic Time, May 2, 2024.

Proposals must be submitted by electronic means using the MERX EBS.

This will be the only method of response accepted for consideration. Proposals will not be considered if submitted by fax, email or other open forms of communication. Proposals must be received by the closing date and hour. Late Proposals will not be considered.

Marine Atlantique Inc. (MAI) lance un appel d'offres auprès de fournisseurs qualifiés pour le remplacement du toit du bâtiment du radeau de sauvetage à Port aux Basques, à Terre-Neuve.

Le projet est situé sur le site du terminal de traversier Marine Atlantique à Port aux Basques, à Terre-Neuve.

Les travaux comprennent généralement, sans toutefois s'y limiter, le remplacement du toit du bâtiment du radeau de sauvetage. Plus particulièrement, les travaux comprennent, sans toutefois s'y limiter, les éléments suivants :

• Mobilisation et démobilisation, y compris toute la main-d'œuvre et l'équipement spécifiés et requis pour effectuer les travaux.

• Retirez le toit en panneaux à joints debout existant, comme indiqué sur les dessins.

• Supprimer les conduites d'eau de pluie (RWL) existantes, comme indiqué sur les dessins.

• La cheminée abandonnée existante doit être enlevée au complet, tel que montré aux dessins.

• La faîtière métallique existante, les solins d'avant-toit et les gouttières doivent être enlevés, comme indiqué sur les dessins.

• Fournir et installer un nouveau toit en panneaux à joints debout, tel qu'indiqué sur les dessins.

• Fournir et installer de nouvelles conduites d'évacuation des eaux pluviales (RWL), tel que montré aux dessins.

• Fournir et installer une nouvelle faîtière métallique, des solins d'avant-toit et des gouttières, tel qu'indiqué sur les dessins.

• La cheminée existante doit être retirée et remise en état dans les conditions existantes. Fournissez un nouveau renfort stabilisateur pour correspondre au matériel de connexion existant et nouveau. Fixez-le au nouveau toit si nécessaire. Emplacement indiqué approximativement tel qu'indiqué sur les dessins ; Vérifiez l'emplacement exact sur place.

• Fournir un prix au mètre pour le remplacement potentiel des pannes rouillées existantes. La taille et l'emplacement des pannes doivent correspondre à ceux existants et doivent être vérifiés lors de la première réunion sur place.

• Soumissions :
o Préparation, soumission et mise en œuvre d'un calendrier de construction approuvé.
o Préparation, soumission et mise en œuvre d'un plan de sécurité spécifique au site approuvé.
o Préparation, soumission et mise en œuvre d'un plan approuvé de contrôle de la circulation et des piétons.
o Préparation, soumission et mise en œuvre d'un plan de protection de l'environnement spécifique au site approuvé.
o Préparation et soumission d'une méthodologie d'exécution du projet.

Marine Atlantique se réserve le droit d'accepter les offres en totalité ou en partie. L’offre la plus basse ou toute autre offre ne sera pas nécessairement acceptée.

Une visite des lieux aura lieu le mardi 23 avril 2024, à 14 h 00, heure de Terre-Neuve, sur le site de Port aux Basques, à Terre-Neuve.

La date limite de réception des offres sera le 2 mai 2024 à 14 h, heure de l'Atlantique.

Les propositions doivent être soumises par voie électronique en utilisant MERX EBS.

Ce sera la seule méthode de réponse acceptée pour examen. Les propositions ne seront pas prises en compte si elles sont soumises par fax, courrier électronique ou autres formes de communication ouvertes. Les propositions doivent être reçues avant la date et l’heure de clôture. Les propositions tardives ne seront pas prises en compte.
