Project: tender_7870 - RFB for Ontario Foreign Direct Investment Attraction Representatives in Japan

Detailed Description

The Ministry of Economic Development and Growth (the “Ministry”) has a core responsibility to attract FDI into Ontario and to expand and retain such investment. The Ministry’s investment promotion and attraction program markets the province as a premier investment location to key investment decision-makers and influencers in core geographic markets through advertising and promotion and investment sales initiatives.

The purpose of the RFB is to contract with a Vendor to provide in-market representation services to increase the number of active Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) projects in Ontario’s priority sectors and markets to increase the likelihood of investment wins for Ontario.

This will be done by undertaking targeted Corporate Calls with decision-makers in corporations who influence the decision to invest in a particular country, marketing and sales activities targeted to those decision makers, and building long term and sustainable relationships with key investment decision-makers and influencers, as well as other related in-market lead generation activities.

The Vendor will be principally responsible for researching and qualifying prospective projects and creating new qualified leads for Ontario and nurturing them through the Ministry’s sales funnel towards a successful Closed Deal and win for the province, to result in an annual minimum number of Investment Transaction points.

Scope of Work
The Vendor will provide in-market FDI attraction representation in the Territory to enable direct, face-to-face contact and Corporate Calls with prospective and current Client Organizations in the Target Sectors. The Vendor representative(s) must be approved by the Ministry for client interaction and cannot be replaced without Ministry approval.

The Vendor will be primarily responsible for achieving a minimum number of Investment Transaction points annually, as further described in the Scorecard attached as Appendix H. This process will include converting Prospect and Investment Projects into Leads, Opportunities, and Closed Deals in favour of Ontario. The path of Prospects and Investment Projects through the Sales Funnel, as described in the RFB
