Work Description:
Work under this Contract covers the supply and mobilization of all labour, equipment, plant and materials as required and specified in the Specifications, to refurbish existing concrete on the walls of the Dry Dock at the Esquimalt Graving Dock, 825 Admirals Road, Victoria, BC. The work to be performed includes, but is not limited to:
1. Concrete repair on a vertical surface;
2. Concrete repair on a horizontal surface;
3. Concrete repair on an altar;
4. Concrete repair on a pipe chase, and
5. Remove loose concrete.

Work will be performed in accordance with the contract schedules within the scope of work.

Optional Site Visit:
The site visit for this project is optional. Arrangements have been made for the site visit to be held on December 14, 2017 at 10:00am PST at the Esquimalt Graving Dock. Interested Bidders are to meet at the PWGSC Operations Centre, Building NS32, Esquimalt Graving Dock, located at 825 Admirals Road, Victoria, BC.

The front gate commissionaire will only allow access to the site if previous visitor information is provided and names appear on the visitor list.

Bidders are reminded that the Esquimalt Graving Dock is a heavy industrial site and WCB approved hard hats and safety footwear must be worn for the site visit.

Bidders are responsible for making their own travel arrangements.

Interested bidders are requested to provide their name(s) and company name(s) to the Contracting Authority, Michaela Costa at (236) 888-7800 or michaela.costa@tpsgc-pwgsc.gc.ca, by 14:30 PST on December 13, 2017, if attending the site visit.

Completion Date:
The work will commence immediately upon official notification of acceptance of tender by the Contracting Authority, and is to be completed within nine (9) weeks after contract award.

Industrial Security Requirements:
1. At bid closing, the Bidder must hold a valid Security Clearance as indicated in section SC01 of the Supplementary Conditions. Failure to comply with this requirement will render the Bid non-compliant and no further consideration will be given to the Bid.

2. The successful Bidder's personnel, as well as any subcontractor and its personnel, who are required to perform any part of the Work pursuant to the subsequent contract must meet the mandatory security requirement as indicated in section SC01 of the Supplementary Conditions. Individuals who do not have the required level of security will not be allowed on site. It is the responsibility of the successful Bidder to ensure that the security requirements are met throughout the performance of the contract. Canada will not be held liable or accountable for any delays or additional costs associated with the successful Bidder's non-compliance with the mandatory security requirement.

Value of Project:
To assist with bonding and insurance requirements this project is estimated to cost between $350,000.00 and $400,000.00.
