  Royal British Columbia Museum - Escalator Modification Project

NOTICE OF INTENT (NOI) TO INVITE SELECTED SUPPLIERS
NOI # ON-003102


Notice is hereby given by the Royal BC Museum of its intent to contact and invite the following selected escalator suppliers to attend a Site Meeting for the proposed Escalator Modification Project. These Selected Suppliers only may be invited to submit a response to an RFP or a Tender should the Royal BC Museum determine there is a suitable solution after the completion of the Site Meeting.

The Royal BC Museum is only inviting these selected suppliers as they believe these are the only companies that can provide the local sales and service required.

1)    KONE Elevator and Escalators
2) Otis Elevator Company
2)    ThyssenKrupp Elevator
3)    Schindler Elevator


Suppliers wishing to object to this decision must contact Jerry Gauthier, Procurement Specialist, by facsimile at (250) 387-7309 or e-mail to procurement@gov.bc.ca on or before 2:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time on January 5, 2018, identifying this opportunity number ON-003102and presenting in writing, specific reasons for their objection. If justified, the Royal BC Museum will convene a meeting with Royal BC Museum representatives and the supplier to receive representations concerning this opportunity.

A service provider's ability to offer the escalator sales and services resulting in the same or better solutions will be the key criterion with regard to the consideration of objections.


All amendments to the associated notice, including amended documents, plans and specifications (where applicable), are issued on BC Bid. MERX asks that you refer to the BC Bid notice for these amendments. MERX stipulates that potential bidders may also be required to register with the buying authority as a bidder/plan taker.
