Notice Description

GIS Data Automation and Workflow Software

The City of St. Albert intends to proceed with the purchase of FME Server software from Safe Software.

FME Desktop has been in use at the City since 2009 and this purchase is simply to formalize the transition from the existing desktop version to the server version.

FME is used to round out the City’s GIS data processing, automating the data movement between applications and environments. It is currently being used to support multiple file formats that are used within the City, as well as the various applications utilized internally and externally.

The City is not aware of any other software applications that provide the same functionality as the FME product.
