  Vendor of Record Arrangement for Recumbent Bathing Systems (Tubs) at St. Joseph’s Care Group

Invitation to Proponents
This Request for Proposals ("RFP") is an invitation to prospective proponents to submit proposals for the provision of the supply, delivery and servicing of identified recumbent bathing systems (tubs) at multiple sites within St. Joseph’s Care Group, Thunder Bay, Ontario, as further described in Part 2 - The Deliverables (the “Deliverables"). This RFP is issued by St. Joseph’s Care Group (SJCG).

The Care Group Sites included in this Request for Proposals are:

1-    St. Joseph’s Hospital 35 N. Algoma Street Thunder Bay, ON
(224- beds, complex care/rehabilitation beds)

2-    St. Joseph’s Heritage 63 Carrie Street Thunder Bay ON
    (110-beds, not-for-profit long-term care home)

3-    Hogarth Riverview Manor 300 N. Lillie Street Thunder Bay, ON
    (96-beds, single-storey, long-term care home)

4-    Centre of Excellence for Integrated Seniors' Services (CEISS)
Lillie Street Thunder Bay, ON (currently under construction
with a completion date of 2012/13) (336 long term
care beds and 132 Supportive housing units)

5-    Lakehead Psychiatric Hospital (LPH) 580 N. Algoma St. Thunder Bay, ON
    (71 –beds, inpatient, outpatient and outreach mental health services)


St. Joseph's Care Group operates nine healthcare facilities in Thunder Bay including: St. Joseph's Hospital (Corporate Office), Balmoral Centre, Behavioural Sciences Centre, Diabetes Health Thunder Bay, Hogarth Riverview Manor, Lakehead Psychiatric Hospital, Sister Margaret Smith Centre, St. Joseph's Health Centre and St. Joseph's Heritage. These facilities are owned and operated by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Sault Ste. Marie, sponsored by The Catholic Health Corporation of Ontario (CHCO) and managed by a volunteer Board of Directors. Together, we are committed to providing programs and services in complex care and rehabilitation, long-term care, supportive housing, and, mental health and addictions to meet the needs of the people in the Districts of Thunder Bay and Kenora-Rainy River.

St. Joseph’s Care Group’s broad program areas are: Physical Rehabilitation & Complex Care, Mental Health & Addiction Services, and Long-Term Care Services. SJCG has approximately 1700 employees, 400 volunteers and an annual operating budget of $125M.
