Notice Description

  Landfill Fencing

Synopsis:

The Eston & District Landfill is nearing completion of site renovations at its regional landfill. A new cell and berm have been constructed. The next phase will involve placement of fencing around the perimeter of the site and along the east and south sides of the new cell A.

Scope:

Six (6) foot high chain link fencing with no barb wire around the full perimeter of the Phase 1 landfill site (1,241 meters/4,071 feet). Cement pilings and twelve (12) foot posts are to be included to accommodate heavy clay soil that shifts significantly. A gate should also be included.
Twenty (20) foot high fencing along the east and south sides of Cell A (40 meters/131 feet north-south plus 70 meters/230 feet east-west). Fencing is ideally angled and quotes for both a chain link and a mesh material are requested, including the lifespan, size of opening, etc.
(See attached maps for further description.)

Completion date: The fencing installation is to be completed no later than November 30, 2017.

Selection:

The successful applicant will be notified in August 2017.

The Authority reserves the right to select a successful tender based not solely on pricing, but other related factors including but not limited to quality of materials used, relevant experience, and references.

Should the job be completed in a highly satisfactory manner, the Authority reserves the right to contract fencing of future cells directly from the selected vendor.

Additional Information:

Submissions:

Tenders should include information such as:

Costs for all materials, equipment, complete installation, travel, etc.
A summary of experience with landfill fencing.

At least two (2) references from similar projects in rural Saskatchewan.

Submissions are not to exceed twenty (10) pages in length. An electronic copy must be included in all submissions.
