Project title

Exploration Surface Mobility - Lunar Rover Prototypes

Description

On behalf of Canadian Space Agency (CSA) located in St-Hubert,
Quebec, bids are requested from bidders to develop two (2) Lunar
Exploration Light Rover (LELR) prototypes (including one copy
per prototype) focusing on tasks such as robotic operations on
the Moon for human precursor mission, sample collection and
scientific investigations with potential to be upgradeable for
short distance unpressurized crew transportation for nominally
one (1) and potentially two (2) astronauts.

The scope of work encompasses the design, development,
production, assembly and testing of the prototypes, integration
of payloads on the rover, upgrade of the rover and performance
of a field deployment.

Up to two (2) contracts will be awarded, one for each LELR
prototype (including one copy of the prototype). Number of
contract will be limited to one per bidder.

Bidder must not submit more than one (1) bid.

Security Requirements

No security requirements apply to this project.

Period of contract

From the date of Contract up to December 31, 2012 inclusive.

Maximum Budget

The actual budget available for the Contract resulting from the
bid solicitation is $11,000,000.00 for each LELR prototype,
including one copy of the prototype,, Goods and Services Tax or
Harmonized Sales Tax extra, as appropriate.

Basis of payment

Limitation of Expenditure with progress payments and an
applicable holdback of 10%.

Intellectual Property

The Intellectual Property will vest with the contractor.


Canadian Content

The requirement is limited to Canadian goods and/or services.

Eligible Participant

The Prime Contractor must be a Canadian Industrial Performer


Delivery Date: Above-mentioned

The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any
procurement.

Documents may be submitted in either official language of Canada.
