Ellesmere Island Commercial Support Contract

The Department of National Defence has a requirement for the
provision of "non-mission" operation and maintenance of various
site support services on Ellesmere Island including CFS Alert.
The requirement is for a single contract, which would include,
but not necessarily be limited to: food services, roads and
grounds maintenance, transportation services, vehicle and
infrastructure maintenance services at CFS Alert. The
requirement also includes support to other DND activities on
Ellesmere Island, such as support to the DND facilities in
Eureka, on an as and when required basis. The requirement is
for a period of five (5) years with options to extend the period
of performance by one three (3) year period, and by a further
two (2) year period.

Two Industry Days were held to give potential bidders an
introduction and background into the requirement. The first was
held on 22 March 2011 in Winnipeg, Manitoba and the second was
held on 12-13 April 2011 in Iqaluit, Nunavut.

A Mandatory Site Visit is planned for the week of September 12,
2011. Bidders must communicate with the Contracting Authority
before submitting the Visit Clearance Request to confirm
attendance and obtain all required documentation.

A Bidder's Conference is planned for the week of September 28,
2011 in Ottawa, Ontario.

Bids will be evaluated on a lowest cost per point as detailed in
the Request for Proposal.

A minimum of 7.5% Inuit Content must be achieved as detailed in
the Request for Proposal.

Delivery Date: Above-mentioned

The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any
procurement.
