Notice Description

TRAINING PROGRAM FOR AIRPORT ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL

The International Association of Airport Executives is a not-for-profit-corporation, incorporated under the Canadian Corporations Act and is responsible to its members to provide training in a multitude of areas concerning airport operations.

The International Association of Airport Executives (IAAE Canada) is seeking a basic training course for all airport lighting maintenance electrical personnel. The courses will take place at various locations in Canada in agreement with the contractor at dates to be determined. The facility for training will be arranged. The course will consist of four (4) days of training with a minimum ten (15) students per session. The course should be designed to have a theory classroom portion and hands on field portion. A manual should be furnished to the class participants covering in detail the program subjects along with reference materials or the online location to find, such as transport Canada TP312, ICAO International Regulations as deemed appropriate. Each session will have adequate discussion time to answer specific questions as well as specific problems and solutions may be covered. A result of this training will be increased safety for those who work at the airport and improved reliability for the airport lighting visual aids systems that are vital to aircraft safety during landing, takeoff, and taxiing operations.
