The Government of Manitoba, as represented by the Minister of Central Services, Accommodation Services Division, seeks to select a qualified Contractor to provide services for new construction (including all labour, materials, supplies and equipment) for NEW REPLICA CHIMNEYS FOR CHIMNEY SWIFTS to be built at the Selkirk Mental Health Centre property, 825 Manitoba Avenue, Selkirk, MB. It should be noted that the proposed replica chimneys are NOT typical masonry construction. The four proposed new chimneys are to be constructed with timber or steel stud framing with wood or metal cladding and range from 34 feet tall to 45 feet tall. Three of the four proposed chimneys will be constructed on concrete bases while one will be attached to an existing building.

Bidders shall meet in the front lobby of the building.
A Manitoba representative (KGS Group & Central Services staff) will be in attendance to conduct the site examination, and to record the names of the Bidders who attend and participate in the site examination. Questions raised during the site exams will be recorded and the written answers will be issued as an addendum.
Attendance is mandatory, and the Bid of any Bidder not having attended will be rejected on the basis that it is non-compliant. In fairness to the tendering process and to the punctual Bidders, the Manitoba representative will allow only five (5) minutes for late attendees, after that time, belated for any reason Bidders shall be considered non-compliant.
