The University of Ottawa is pleased to invite qualified vendors to submit a proposal for a Multimodal image analysis system.
Our lab is researching the interactions between muscle stem cells and their niche environment. Muscle stem cells are a very rare cell type that exists in a quiescent state under homeostatic conditions. Due to the rarity of these cells, protein quantification is challenging, and the generation of sequencing libraries results in low quantities of nucleic acids. Equipment that is capable of analyzing low-abundant proteins and nucleic acids is essential for the advancement of our research program.
We are looking to acquire equipment that can perform this variety of quantitative and qualitative analyses of protein and nucleic acids. In particular, with regards to protein quantification, we are searching an equipment that can perform chemiluminescent, IR, and in-cell western blotting, as well as ELISA. In terms of nucleic acids, we want equipment that can perform nucleic acid gel imaging of low-quantity nucleic acids, with the intent of performing quality control of our Next Generation Sequencing libraries. Further, we are looking to acquire equipment for imaging tissue sections and can perform whole slide imaging.
