Description

Request for Information (RFI) to seek information about current and future market capabilities for a Roadwork Scheduling System (RSS) solution to manage the roadway closure and Right-of-Way (ROW) usage requests and approval process. The ROW refers to property belonging to the Ministry and includes, but is not limited to, Ministry owned freeways, highways, shoulders and land. The Ministry is looking for a system that will be fully owned, operated and maintained by the Ministry.
Scope of Work
The Ministry has undergone a value engineering approach for characterizing the required criteria and functions for the desired RSS solution. The RFI requests submissions which describe solutions that meet these requirements as detailed in the RFI.

The Ministry may request in-person demonstrations from Respondents of this RFI for the purpose of collecting additional information and/or receiving clarification on proposal details. Invitations may be extended to some or all Respondents of this RFI subsequent to the receipt and review of responses. The session is anticipated not to exceed one day per respondent.

The purpose of the session is to help the Ministry better understand the solution and future market trends. The Ministry will use the sessions to ask questions and discuss the details of the RSS solution. Any costs associated with these sessions will be the respondent’s responsibility.

The Ministry shall determine in its sole discretion whether to conduct or not to conduct any information/demonstration sessions and which respondents to invite to such a session.

The Ministry accepts that some respondents may want to partner and collaborate with other vendors/ service providers.

To respond to the RFI, respondents are required to provide a written response to all required sections in the RFI.
