Description

Conduct an investigation to ascertain the source of water penetration through the C. D. Howe roofing system and carry out the necessary repairs. The investigation should be limited to the perimeter of roofing system on the West side of the building along Kent St. Based on the results of GOC604139 it is suggested that the leak may originate within the gutter system and some level of destructive testing will be required. Efforts should be made to follow the recommendations in this report as they point to issues within the gutter system. It is suspected a swing stage is required to complete the investigation for the infiltration at the gutters. Disassembly, removal and storage of multiple components will be required.

Proponents are advised that there will be an Optional site visit to be held on the date and times specified within the item 1.4 of the RFP Lite document. A maximum of one representative of each Proponent, or its authorized representative, are permitted to attend the Optional site visit. Attendees will meet the BGIS Representative at the C.D. HOWE Building, 240 Sparks St, Ottawa, ON. Site visits will be conducted in small groups. Proponents are advised that they must preregister via email to Abeera.Akram@bgis.com by date and time specified in item 1.4.1 of the RFP to be authorized to access the site. Failure to register may result in the Proponents representative being refused access to the site.
