Description

The Zoning Bylaw Renewal Initiative will rewrite Edmonton Zoning Bylaw 12800 to align with The City Plan goals, objectives, and policy directions, as well as ensure the bylaw is clear and easy to understand for users.

The Zoning Bylaw Team (Project Team) requires the services of a consultant to provide advisory services for the new Zoning Bylaw Project. These services primarily involve acting in an advisory and editorial capacity to guide the creation of the new Zoning Bylaw. Supporting services include providing guidance on bylaw structure and content, including how to effectively write Form-Based and Performance-Based regulations, creating a writing and stylistic guide for the project team, and to support in the writing of parts of the new Zoning Bylaw.

The successful consultant will provide guidance and direction to the project team to create a successful new Zoning Bylaw that will align with Edmonton’s Strategic Framework (Connect(Ed)monton) and the City Plan, as well as the goals of the New Zoning Bylaw project itself.
