Description

For the primary purpose of wildfire suppression, the Wildfire Management Branch of Alberta Agriculture and Forestry requires the Services of four (4) intermediate helicopters with a minimum takeoff weight with external load of 2,600 kg. The helicopters shall also have the ability to carry no less than five (5) passengers, and be able to deliver fire suppressants to a wildfire. The aircraft will be positioned as required throughout the Province of Alberta and may be exported outside the Province if required. The aircraft may be repositioned with minimal notice and for indefinite periods of time. The Wildfire Management Branch will guarantee a minimum of 100 days for each aircraft, in each year for five (5) years. There are no guaranteed flying hours during the core period. All aircraft must meet the specifications as set out in Appendix B –Specifications.

Proponents must be in possession of the proposed aircraft(s) at the time of their Proposal submission with the appropriate documentation as outlined in Attachment # 1 “Mandatory Requirements” of this RFP.
