Description

RFP for the delivery and installation of one to two 100 foot x 11 foot above ground steel deck truck weigh scales for the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry. Bidders may submit proposals for one or two weigh scales.
Scope of Work
Deliver and install one to two 100 foot x 11 foot above ground steel deck truck weigh scales.

In Ontario, weight measurement using scales is the primary mechanism used for measuring timber harvested from Crown lands and is an essential part of the ongoing recovery of Crown timber charges (revenue) as required under the Crown Forest Sustainability Act. The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry manages a large inventory of weigh scale assets across the province. Renewal of aging weigh scale infrastructure is critical for maintaining and enhancing delivery of the scaling program. This procurement is to replace two weigh scales that have reached the end of their life cycle.

Scales are to be delivered to the installation locations on or before by March 15, 2020.

Installation locations are:

1. Norbord Inc. mill in Barwick Ontario
2. Murray Bros. Lumber mill in Madawaska, Ontario
