Description

This RFP is an invitation to submit offers for the provision of Locksmith and Security Supplies and Services such as keys, locks, and intrusion alarms, in addition to Electronic Access Control (Kantech) Supply and Services. Services shall include system consultation as needed, and installation and maintenance of RDC’s lock/key system and card access system. The services will be required for seven (7) main RDC facilities within Red Deer.

As the Campus facilities may expand or change throughout the duration of the contract, additional areas/locations may require services under this contract and may be added by way of Addendum.

Preference will be given to the proponent who is able to provide the entire scope of work without involvement of a third party provider/sub-contractor. Key-ways would need to be with one (1) provider for both locksmith and access control services. ULC certified monitoring by a third party provider may be the only allowable exception to the use of sub-contractors.

The term of the agreement is to be for a period of three (3) years with an option in favour of RDC to extend the agreement on the same or similar terms and conditions for an additional two (2) year term. It is anticipated that the agreement will commence on April 1, 2021.

Proposals received will be evaluated via a three stage method in which the highest ranking proponent will be invited to enter negotiations with RDC.
