PHSA 03841 - PHSA 03841 General Laboratory Supplies

Notice is hereby given that Provincial Health Services Authority, Fraser Health Authority, Interior Health Authority, Northern Health Authority, Vancouver Coastal Health Authority and Vancouver Island Health Authority (the "Health Authority(s)"), through their collective agent Provincial Health Services Authority ("PHSA"), intends to directly award a Contract to the following supplier to provide General Laboratory Supplies for a term of two (2) year at an estimated value of $1,865,915.69 over a two (2) year term.

In accordance with applicable trade agreements, PHSA has chosen not to proceed with a competitive process for the following reason:

· To ensure compatibility with existing goods, or to maintain specialized goods that must be maintained by the manufacturer of those goods or its representative

The six (6) health authorities require general laboratory products that are exclusive to ESBE Scientific Industries Inc. and allows Health Authority(s) to maintain utilizing their current products. It is imperative each health authority maintain utilizing their current products to ensure the continued accuracy of laboratory testing. Only ESBE Scientific Industries Inc. is the sole distributor of the products required in Canada.

Vendors who wish to challenge this decision should submit a detailed written objection for the attention of Jeevan Bains, by email before 2:00pm Pacific Time, March 5, 2021 PHSA will review any and all issues received by this date and provide due consideration to each objection.
