RFP#PS20210269 - CONSULTANT SERVICES FOR CANADA GOOSE POPULATION ASSESSMENT STUDY

In the 1970s, resident urban Canada geese were introduced to Metro Vancouver to boost the local population for hunting and consumption. The ideal habitat in the city of Vancouver resulted in population growth with negative impacts on the landscape, park use and other wildlife. The Vancouver Park Board is seeking consulting services to characterize the Canada Goose population, including its size, distribution, and impacts on the landscape. The study will include recommendations for annual population management activities, including obtaining permits if necessary.
