he Northeast Collaborative is a tourism partnership that currently consists of Lac La
Biche County, Athabasca County, Métis Crossing, Municipal District of Bonnyville and
Town of Vermilion, and which may expand to include additional partners in future years.
The Northeast Collaborative undertakes an annual online tourism marketing campaign,
known informally as Take It To The Lake, using the hashtags #TakeItToTheLake and
#NEAB to promote visitation and tourism development in northeastern Alberta. In 2020,
the campaign achieved a social media reach of almost 900,000.
The Northeast Collaborative uses a contractor to produce and market tourism content
for each partner, using a common approach and standard per-segment pricing. The
contractor oversees all aspects of associated project management, in consultation with
the partners. See “Scope of Work” for additional information on segment deliverables.
Lac La Biche County is the Northeast Collaborative’s managing partner, and the
contractor’s contractual relationship will be with Lac La Biche County, but the contractor
will provide services to all partners in the Northeast Collaborative as described in
“Scope of Work
