The University of New Brunswick, Information Technology Services (ITS), invites proposals for the Supply and Delivery of high-capacity network connections. The NB/PEI Education Computer Network (ECN) have partnered to build a shared network within the Province of New Brunswick, referred to as the NB Research and Education Network (NBREN). It interconnects all campuses and remote sites of the partner organizations and approved research labs to facilitate education and foster research and
development in New Brunswick. This RFP is for the current partners and other members of the NBREN. It is the intention of the NBREN partnership to meet New Brunswick Research and Education Network's current needs and provide the ability to quickly react to future opportunities for educational or collaborative research or network extensions as needs arise. The RFP calls for links between locations and these links will be interconnected with customer owned network equipment. Where multiple
campuses are located in one city or c
ommunity, local loops are required to connect them. Some locations indicate a passive fibre path is in service. (See more info on Page 16)
