Description

The City undertook an investment attraction strategy informed by global, national, provincial, and local data and trends, and identified key sectors and key markets along with initiatives to undertake to target them.

In this strategy, production of virtual reality (VR) video and development of an investment attraction-focused website were two tactics identified that can help reduce risk for businesses assessing investment opportunities and further key conversations with potential investors.

The City intends to complete these two tactics with the support of two recently awarded grants from the Northern Development Initiative Trust and CanExport Community Investments.
