Description

The City of Lethbridge has been investigating initiatives in the “Smart Cities” space for a number of years. One key concept that has been explored is around the improvement in broadband communications within the community. Although residential connectivity is generally viewed as adequate, there has been concern raised by the business community regarding the availability and cost of broadband to support their changing business needs.
The City of Lethbridge has been awarded funding to pursue a Pilot Project under the ICIP – COVID 19 Resilience Infrastructure Stream. The grant funding has been approved and is subject to grant terms which will affect the schedule and budget for this project. Grant terms will be shared with the successful proponent.
