20-1636 - 20-1636 Snow Clearing – Water Treatment Facilities

1. This RFP is open to all interested vendors.
2. RFP Summary:
The City of Calgary (The City) is looking for one (1) qualified Supplier to assist The City by providing snow and ice control services for the following four (4 ) schedules:
1. Bearspaw Water Treatment Plant (BWTP) and Glenmore Water Treatment Plant (GWTP)
2. Water Treatment Pump Stations and Reservoirs with public sidewalks
3. Water Treatment Pump Stations and Reservoirs without public sidewalks
4. BWTP and GWTP snow hauling as required

The snow and control services will be provided on sidewalks, driveways, entry ways, access roads, sidewalks, steps, parking lots and stalls and roadways, as part of the snow and ice control program, (as defined in Appendix F and Appendix G) on an ‘as and when required’ basis at the following City’s facilities:

• Two (2) Water Treatment Plants;
• Forty (40) pumping stations; and
• Twenty (20) reservoirs.

3. This procurement process is not intended to create, and, will not create, a formal, legally binding bidding process. It will instead be governed by the law applicable to direct commercial negotiations.
4. Agreement Term:
The Agreement will be for an initial term of two (2) years. After the initial term, the Agreement may be renewed on the same terms and conditions for three (3) additional one (1) year terms for a potential total term of five (5) years.
