The University of Alberta (the “University”) is located in Edmonton, Alberta. It is the largest post-secondary institution in the province with eighteen (18) faculties, five (5) campuses, approximately 40,061 students and 14,438 employees. The University also ranks among the top five (5) universities in Canada.

The Department of Mechanical Engineering is seeking a Fourier Transform Infrared (FT-IR) Spectroscopy System that is designed for the automated, high precision and real-time monitoring of gas concentrations at the part per billion levels. The (FT-IR) can selectively measure a vast range of detectable gas components, provide nonlinear fitting algorithms over a wide dynamic range, and compensate for temperature and pressure fluctuations, water vapour interference, and interference from other known gases.
