Vulcan County Emergency Services is currently accepting proposals on a Water Rescue Craft to be built and delivered 2021. Proposals on new or prior year models will be accepted. Proposals must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked Water Rescue Craft by 9:00 am Sept 1st, 2020 at the Vulcan County Office; located at 102 Center Street (Box 180) Vulcan Alberta, T0L-1B0.
This is a "Request for Proposals" and not an "Invitation to Tender". You are therefore advised that Vulcan County reserves the right to:
1. Accept a proposal without negotiations;
2. Reject a proposal without negotiations;
3. Negotiate changes in the technical or financial content of the successful
proposal; and
4. Vulcan County reserves the right to accept or reject any and all RFPs and to waive irregularities and informalities at their own discretion. The County reserves the right to accept any RFP other than the lowest RFP without stating reasons. By the act of submitting its RFP, the Proponent waives any right to contest in any legal proceedings or action the right of the County to award the Work to any
Proponent in its sole and unfettered discretion. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, Vulcan County may consider any other factor besides price and capability to perform the Work that it deems in its sole discretion to be relevant to its decision including, but not limited to the following:
• Experience
• Reputation
• Safety considerations including safety record
• Financial solvency, or
• Rating guide
5. Identify Regular Price and Municipal Price on the proposal.
6. 2018-2020 models meeting the specs will be considered
