NTV2020004 - NOTICE TO VENDORS for BC Post-Secondary Sector Vendor Engagement

BCNET Procurement is a division of BCNET, a not-for-profit shared services organization, created to deliver greater efficiencies and savings by offering a marketplace of competitively sourced agreements through member-driven, collaborative strategic sourcing for the 25 public, post-secondary sector in B.C.

On behalf of the BC public post-secondary institutions, BCNET Procurement is pleased to advise of an upcoming competitive procurement process via a collaborative Request for Proposal (RFP) for two opportunities: Heating, Ventilating, Air, Cooling (HVAC) and Plumbing Supplies and General Building Supplies.

BCNET Procurement will be hosting an informational conference call on Friday, August 21st from 10:00-10:30 AM (Pacific Time) to outline the sector's strategic objectives of the tenders. All interested parties are invited to participate via conference call.

The objectives of each RFP are to:
· Reduce acquisition and administrative costs and efforts associated with procuring supplies across multiple vendors for supplies;
· Increase spend under management to increase visibility and aggregate spend to lower unit costs for post-secondary institutions;
· Provide a range of options that meet appropriate product and service level requirements for post-secondary institutions to minimize total cost of ownership for post-secondary institutions' facilities departments and possibly for trades training programs;
· Acquire competitive pricing for the post-secondary sector purchasing consortium.
