Overview of Centre for Grid Innovation
The Centre for Grid Innovation (CGI) is a collaboration between NAIT, government, and industry stakeholder. It consists of a microgrid lab and staffed with technical personnel, located in NAIT’s Productivity and Innovation Centre. (PIC). CGI’s vision is to provide innovation support to accelerate the transformation and modernization of the electric power grids. CGI looks to achieve the vision by providing product development and validation services to the distributed electricity sector.

CGI is seeking the services of a health and safety consultant (Contractor) to develop a comprehensive health and safety program specific for the lab, guided by NAIT’s institutional Health and Safety Program. CGI was commissioned and energized in November 2019, and we are looking to service industry by helping clients conducting experiments using our microgrid lab. As well, there is a plan to install additional assets in the CGI lab to further the Centre’s capabilities in fall/winter 2020.

NAIT is seeking a qualified and experienced safety consultant to develop a health and safety program for the Centre for Grid Innovation.
