Description

The purpose of the Survey of Arctic Offshore Well Control and Containment Equipment, Best Available Technologies and Practices (the Survey) is to put together a compendium of the current and prospective well control and containment equipment, best available technologies and practices and to gauge their appropriateness for deployment in Canada’s Arctic waters. The Survey will be closely linked to the existing Arctic Regional Environmental Studies (ARES), which include the development of regional and environmental studies to inform oil and gas related decisions in key regions of potential interest in Canada’s Arctic waters.
