RFI Scope: 

In 1998, FCC began implementation of a national furniture and space standard for its physical work environment. This standard includes office and workstation size, paint colours, flooring type and office furniture and configuration. This standard has served FCC very well, however industry trends and technology advances are providing new and different opportunities to fit-out office space. 

To inform future direction around furniture standards, it is proposed that a Request for Information (RFI) be issued to understand the marketplace, including its capacity to provide product lines that could be customized and/or configured to fit with FCC’s existing standard. Such a solution could allow FCC to transition to an alternate supplier over time. A Request for Proposals (RFP) process may follow should the RFI stage produce viable alternatives for FCC.

RFI closing date and time: October 9, 2020 at 2:00 PM *

RFI Process Considerations 

Vendors should note that this opportunity notice references an RFI only, not a call for tenders.  FCC does not intend to award a contract as a direct result of this RFI and is only seeking to identify proponents with suitable experience for potential consideration in future opportunities.
