P342020 - North End Feeder Replacement - Engineering Services

The Halifax Regional Water Commission (Halifax Water) is soliciting proposals for engineering services to design a new transmission main to service Halifax peninsula.

The scope of work for this project includes:
• Review proposed work with Halifax Water staff to confirm existing documentation and to develop a full understanding of the existing operational/system limitations and planned improvements.
• Review available background information (i.e. existing as-built drawings survey, data, planned road design drawings, etc.).
• Review existing rock profile, geotechnical and environmental data and assess what additional geotechnical and environmental investigations are required.
• Review and investigate land and/or easement acquisition requirements associated with the alternative corridor alignment options.
• Review and investigate any necessary approvals required with associated approval agencies
• Prepare a Pre-Design Brief.
• Complete the detailed design and prepare the necessary technical specifications, engineering drawings, Geotechnical Report, Approvals, Easement Acquisitions, Tender Documents and Final Report.

Each Proponent must completely satisfy itself as to the exact nature and existing conditions of the project specific requirements and for the extent and quality of work to be performed. Failure to do so will not relieve the successful Proponent of its obligation to carry out the provisions of the contract
