GOC2552959-CS RFP Lite - GOC2552959-CS RFP Lite Conduct & Investigate Venting Issues at This Location

Concerns have been reported and observed of ice damming issues prevalent in the area over the two stairwells going to the second floor. BGIS reported that the consultant engaged on the roof replacement project (GOC1109822) indicates the root cause of the ice damming is related to lack of ventilation in the existing roof assembly. This lack of ventilation is creating hot spots which cause snow to melt and, as the meltwater drains away toward the edge of the roof, it freezes and builds up creating an ice dam.
To identify a long term solution a study is to be conducted to further investigate the ventilation issues and appropriate remedial action to correct this issue is to be reported back to BGIS with an investigation summary, details of the issue uncovered as well as specifics of each identified option for resolution as well as relative costs to implement each identified option. Consultant to investigate other related issues (example: molding, adequate R value, etc). Consultant responsible for intrusive investigation (demolition and repair).
