Notice to Forest Seedling Production Contractors with no or a lapsed Performance Rating
Request for Expressions of Interest for Contractor Prequalification - Seedling REI
The Ministry of Forests, Lands, Natural Resource Operations, and Rural Development, BC Timber Sales Headquarters is establishing a Select List of prequalified contractors specializing in Forest Seedling Production who will be invited to participate in a subsequent Invitation to Tender for Forest Seedling Production. Only prequalified firms will be invited to compete on the project.
The Ministry of Forests, Lands Natural Resource Operations and Rural Development (Ministry) currently has a list of pre-qualified seedling production contractors with existing performance ratings. This Request for Expressions of Interest (REI) for forest seedling production is soliciting interest from seedling production contractors who do NOT currently have a performance rating (have not qualified or have a lapsed rating) but wish to be added to the pool of potential contractors to make them eligible to bid on future seedling production contracts. Invitations to Tender for Forest Seedling Production will be posted on the BC Bid website by the BC Timber Sales Headquarters office.
Evaluation for inclusion of new and re-entry contractors to the Select List will take place only in the period from February 17th, 2021 to June 30, 2021 and will follow the 'Forest Seedling Tender and Contract Award Process'. The Ministry does not guarantee evaluation and resulting short-listing of contractors wishing to compete on issued tenders.
Contractors who currently have a satisfactory performance rating do not need to reply to this REI as they are already on the pre-qualified list. Contractors whose performance ratings have lapsed will need to reply to this REI.
Contractors interested in being evaluated for inclusion on the Select List are invited to obtain a pre-qualification information package containing a description of the proposed project, the pre-qualification mandatory requirements, and complete instructions for submission of an Expression of Interest.
