Description

The RFP invites Respondents to submit Proposals to provide planning, design and conformance (“PDC”) consulting services (the “Services”) for the Weeneebayko Area Health Authority Redevelopment Project (the “Project”).
The Project is planned to be delivered using a Design-Build-Finance (DBF) delivery model and includes the following:

Replacing the dilapidated existing wood facilities of WGH with a contemporary, efficient and accessibly located new facility in Moosonee;
- The Moosonee Health Centre, currently located on the new Moosonee hospital site, will be renovated to house WAHA’s community mental health and addictions program, which will be collocated and share resources with the new intensive addiction day treatment service;
A new Long Term Care Home with a capacity of 32 beds to be located on the new hospital site in Moosonee;
A new Hostel for patients from coastal communities who require accommodation while they access health care services from WAHA;
Residences for eligible staff, physicians and learners; and
A new health centre on Moose Factory Island to respond to urgent, primary care and ambulatory care needs for local residents;
