Pikangikum First Nation is inviting general contractors to submit sealed bids in care of the
architect of record at the address below for the construction of a new Health Facility in Pikangikum,
Ontario. Work includes construction of a new health facility, including treatment areas, a community
health centre, residences for visiting health care professionals, and all associated site development.
Plans and specifications for this project may be obtained electronically from the Winnipeg Construction Association, Condata, Thunder Bay Construction Association and MERX beginning Tuesday September 4th, 2018.
Tenders shall be accompanied by a 10% bid bond. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a
performance bond and a labour and material bond each equivalent to 50% of the contract value.
Bids shall be submitted under a two-envelope system, comprised of Qualifications (Envelope 1) and
Bid Price (Envelope 2).
An optional pre-construction site visit will take place 11:30 a.m., Thursday, September 13, 2018.
Sealed bids will be received at the office of Architecture 49 Inc., 1600 Buffalo Place, Winnipeg,
before 2:00 p.m. (local time) Tuesday September 25, 2018. The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted.
