AREAGENSETS - Utility Scale Biofuel Gensets for Dispatchable Generation

AREA now is studying to add additional dispatchable capacity, in the form of gensets that can use locally sourced waste biofuel streams. At this stage, we are assessing the market for availability of gensets that can use such biofuels efficiently and reliably, new or used, with parallel synchronization capacities. Depending on the nature and strength of the proposals, AREA may or may not decide to purchase equipment immediately. Depending on the costs identified in the proposals, AREA may or may not seek additional project funding before purchasing equipment. AREA may select one or multiple proponents, vendors, makes and models to optimize price and or delivery of the final project sizing.
