Subcontractor Attendance is Optional

Site visits begin promptly at the time, date and location specified above. Bidders that arrive more than ten (10) minutes late will be disqualified from this procurement process.

A sign-in sheet will be provided, and all Bidders are required to sign in. Note that submissions will only be reviewed for those Bidders who have attended and signed the sign-in sheet. No exceptions to this will be permitted.

All questions and enquiries from the site visit must be submitted to the ITT Contact person prior to the date and time as per section 2.2 Timetable.

Representatives of your firm attending a site visit must provide and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment.

Note: No photos are to be taken of the tenants due to tenant confidentiality.
Brief Description of Work
BC Housing is seeking the services of a qualified construction firm with the appropriate multidisciplinary team of construction specialists and subcontractors for the supply and construction of a new HDPE liner in Lagoon Storage Cell #2 at the Baldy Hughes wastewater treatment facility.

Currently all lagoon cells contain wastewater. The Regional District of Fraser Fort George is responsible for disposal of wastewater at this facility. Co-ordination with the RD is required. Disposal of treated wastewater is spray irrigation into forested areas; no other method of disposal at this facility is permitted. The successful Contractor will be required to bypass wastewater from the treatment cells, around Storage Cell #1 into Storage Cell #2, or other control method to keep the work area dry. The Contractor must provide for transferring the contents of Cell #1 into Cell #2, but at a rate no greater than can be disposed of by spray irrigation. The Contractor may co-ordinate with the RD to take care of the irrigation system to extend the disposal hours, at the discretion of the RD.
