Broadband Service Improvements for Part of Manitoulin District
This Request for Proposal (RFP) seeks to establish the successful vendor (s) to upgrade broadband infrastructure and services to the unserved/underserved areas on Manitoulin Island and Communities near and on Highway 6. Specifically, Whitefish River First Nation, Aundeck Omni Kaning (Sucker Creek) First Nation, Wikwemikong Unceded First Nation, Sheguindah First Nation, M’Chigeeng First Nation, Sheshegwaning First Nation, Zhiibaahaasing First Nation, The Township of Nairn and Hyman, Baldwin Township, The Town of Espanola, The Township of Northeastern Manitoulin and the Islands, The Township of Assiginack, The Township of Tehkummah, the Township of Central Manitoulin, The Township of Billings, The Township of Gordon/Barrie Island, The Town of Gore Bay The Township of Burpee and Mills, The Township of Cockburn Island, and Manitoulin- Unorganized West Part and a portion of Sudbury Unorganized, North Part immediately east of Hwy 6 and west of the Town of Killarney.
Blue Sky Net is a regional technology development organization, part of Blue Sky Economic Growth Corporation, contracted by FedNor, the Northern Ontario regional development organization for the Government of Canada. BSN’s goal is to enhance Broadband connectivity, awareness and applications in the Districts of Nipissing, District of Parry Sound, Sudbury East and Manitoulin Island. For the purposes of this RFP Blue Sky Net is working with stakeholders and organizations to receive resolutions of support from the above noted municipalities and First Nations.
Vendor (s) have the sole responsibility to register their intention to bid to ensure they receive any addendum or notifications regarding this RFP. A softcopy of the complete bid submission must be submitted no later than 11:59 P.M. local time, Friday Feb 28th 2020. Submissions received after this date will not be accepted

The proposal with the highest financial contribution, or any proposal, may not necessarily be accepted.
