The Buffalo and Fort Erie Public Bridge Authority is seeking prequalification for contractors interested in pursuing the RFID Infrastructure at Canadian PILS project at its facilities in Fort Erie, Ontario.
The Authority will be evaluating the experience, skill, financial resources and integrity needed to perform the type and size of work involved, by using a system of contractor prequalifications, prior to issuing the invitation to bid.
The goal of the RFID Infrastructure at Canadian PILS project is to provide adequate infrastructure at ten (10) primary inspection lanes (PILs) to support the installation of RFID readers and associated equipment.
Major scope items include, but are not limited to, installation of underground conduit and bollards, relocation of armor stone bumpers, and electrical and data cabling from each inspection booth to the new bollards. See Contractor Prequalification Package for more details, at www.peacebridge.com/rfp.
It is anticipated that construction for the RFID Infrastructure at Canadian PILS project will begin in October of 2018 and be completed by November 2, 2018.
Requested materials are due by 1:00 pm (EDT) Friday September 7, 2018. Invitations to Bid to follow shortly thereafter for prequalified bidders.
