The City of Quesnel (The City), in partnership with the Cariboo Regional District and Quesnel Curling Centre, has secured funding to develop the Quesnel Curling Centre, West Fraser Centre, Arena 2, and the adjacent plaza and parking area into a Hosting Precinct for events. The vision for the Hosting Precinct is to integrate the facilities within the precinct aesthetically and technologically to create a sense of place and increase the functionality of the spaces for large events. To create a sense of place and civic pride, the plaza will be upgraded to include gateway signage, improved lighting, and two inspiring murals.
The two large murals will be located as follows
: • On the west facing Curling Centre exterior wall
• On the east facing Arena 2 exterior wall.
The City would like to retain a qualified individual or firm to design, paint, and install two murals to enhance the Hosting Precinct and provide vibrant public art that the community can enjoy.
