Description

The purpose of this Request for Proposals is to solicit proposals from firms to provide construction management services for Conrad Grebel University College for its “Residence Renewal – Residence Heating and Cooling, Washroom Update, Domestic Hot Water (DHW) Electrification and Sanitary Plumbing Refurbishment” project.

Preconstruction services (March – April 2025):
Consulting with the design team prior to the construction period to advise on constructability, scheduling, costing, and logistics.
Prequalification of tender packages and tendering subcontractors.
Review cost estimates and provide feedback.
Phasing plan and consultation on provision of temporary services.

Phase 1 (April 28 – June 20, 2025):
Full demo and rebuilding of existing washrooms, including new fixtures.
New ventilation and plumbing.
Sanitary scope as in feasibility study.
Electrification of DHW.

Phase 2 (May – June 2026):
Electrification of heating system and provision of cooling for residence.
Final decisions on design are currently being made.
