SIFN-SUB2023 - Sheshatshiu – Phase 1 Residential Development

This project includes the first phase of a multi-phasefully serviced housing expansion (i.e., subdivision 
development) on the Sheshatshiu Innu First Nation (SIFN) Reserve. The SIFN Reserve is 
located in Labrador, approximately 30 km north of Happy Valley-Goose Bay and has a population of 
approximately 2,000 people. With the recent and continued growth of the SIFN, it is important to 
proactively plan for future growth and how it will be accommodated. The proposed project area has 
been identified by SIFN and is shown in the attached drawing. The Project will include the construction 
of a new roadway, water and sewer system, and utilities, replacement of an existing culvert, and the 
development of approximately 33 residential lots.
